Brewery: Halcyon Barrel House
Label design: Beau’s (in-house)

Origin: Ontario, Canada
Style: Sour Ale
ABV: 9%

Halycon is an offshoot of the Beau’s brewery - a Canadian outfit that looks to be creating some of the most interesting and appealing beers knocking around.

Their Halcyon brewery specialise in sour and wild ales; looking back to older, more traditional brewing methods to make some pretty special booze. The label design is lovely nod to these brewing values with some italic serif type sitting beside a stark three-colour illustration that wouldn’t look out of place on old sci-fi cover. It’s nicely balanced so as not to appear odd or jarring. Just like the brew itself no doubt. Digging that barrel log marque with it’s subtle H too. All good stuff.

This was  a label provided by the good people of Chicago’s The Hop Review - cheers guys!
