Origin: Tongham, Surrey, England
Style: Bitter
ABV: 4.2%
Hog's Back's Traditional English Ale (TEA) was their first ale and what put them on the brewery map back in 1992. It's a nothing fancy in taste but a lovely bitter nevertheless. A staple for many I expect.

The illustration is a lovely take on the region too. Reminiscent of a children's book illustration but not to be too cartoonish or infantile to put an adult consumer off. Like many smaller brewers' packaging there's a freshness and character here marking it out from the blander mass market products.

A good ale and a punchy label.
