Origin: Røros, Norway
Style: Golden Ale
ABV: 4.7%

Design: form til fjells
Big chunky type and a cracking illustration of Hovistuten – An Magritt’s faithful ox, plowing through the unforgiving fields of Roros – a region of Norway famed for it’s mining and rocky landscapes. Feeling that low Scandi sun in the distance there too. Lovely work.

An Margritt was the heroine of a novel by Johan Falkenberget - a tale of struggle, hardship, suicide and the biting cold winter of a Roros mining village in the 1600s. I’ll confess to not having read this, nor seeing the film (both acclaimed) but this beer is a much lighter experience. Refreshing, decent golden ale, almost a lager really. Not too hoppy.
