One for the classics scholars. Aeolus lived on a floating island and was known in Homer’s epic, The Odyssey, as the ‘Keeper of the Winds’. After escaping from the cyclop’s cave, Odysseus and his crew stumbled across Aelous, who sheltered them and provided favourable winds for their onward journey.

It’s a reference that will probably be lost on most, including myself (thanks Wikipedia). Nevertheless, a lovely slab of curvy type full of 70s warmth.
