A golden ale from the tiny village of Uig, which must be the UK’s most northerly brewery looking out towards the North Atlantic on the Isle of Skye.
Set up by a group of schoolteachers who complained about the lack of decent beer on the island, Leann An Eilein (Isle of Skye Brewery) are punching above weight here. It’s a decent light ale, and one of a range of solid beers.
I’m a big fan of the design too - one colour, lots of impact and big, chiselled type. But especially that Skye wordmark - the jumping superscript ligature is lovely.
