A lovely golden ale from Lancashire brewery Thwaites. Named after legendary rambler Alfred Wainwright who penned and illustrated a beautiful series of walking guides for the Lake District - in his spare time no less.
The label pays homage with a similar hand drawn inked illustration featuring the man himself resting easy after a bracing summit climb no doubt.
Note: this label design has since been updated by Thwaites with a new illustration without Alfred (shame) but also without the crappy Comic Sans (bonus).
